Few and far between. I'm on iPad but have gotten a new desktop so will visit with that next time.
Will be much easier to see and navigate.
Just rain and more rain the last couple days. Enough is enough. I am getting hungry about now. Lets see, the last I ate was around 8 in the morning. It is now 5 PM. Time to at least start thinking of what to eat.Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-11219989355482275912013-05-22T20:21:00.000-08:002013-05-22T20:21:07.667-08:00Kind of cloudy today. Good morning. Boy it has been a cool May. Not like other Mays' here. Here it is the 21st and the leaves are not even starting to come out on the trees. Usually by this time in the year the trees are all out with their leaves. Not a good start to our summer here. Not at all.
I am slow getting my seeds planted and started. I may have well have gone to Africa and just forgot about getting a garden in again this year. Now I can't go until around September and I don't know if I can wait that long to see my friend. I have been feeling out of it here at home. I need to get over to Palmer to get those papers again and get started filling them out. Get that done before I go to Africa this fall.
I'll start more seeds today. Maybe some corn and see if it comes up and oh yes....some cucumbers next and some more squash. Hmmm, what else? I'll have to look at my seeds. Maybe start some beans as well to be transplanted in the garden or greenhouse soon.
Guess I better get busy. I am feeling very empty inside as I miss my friend. It's going to be hard to plant seeds and work out side today as the sun went away and it is very chilly out there today. Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-21995147314072537292012-08-03T14:49:00.000-08:002012-08-03T14:49:05.034-08:00Aug. 3, 2012 PEACH CHAI SPICE TEA POPS
I can't wait to be there again. This is my 3rd time going there. My ex is not happy at all, but what do I care what he thinks anyways?
So I won't have much of a garden here in Alaska this year, but so far it is proving to be a very cold spring so far. Not a nice spring at all, so maybe I should not waste my time, like last year.
I should have been taking pictures, but I have not felt much like doing anything at all. I've gotten a different laptop, one that works right and I will take that with me and take pictures and try to add them here. I don't know how long I will be there as I have some things to do there.Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0Reddane Ave, Wasilla, AK 99654, USA61.3472179 -150.032669460.859992899999995 -151.2960969 61.8344429 -148.7692419tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-44064607089559958002012-05-01T19:43:00.001-08:002012-05-01T19:43:20.789-08:00It's getting closerIts getting closer to heading back to Africa. I'm taking some jump ropes to teach the little girls how to jump rope.
I'm also going to take frisbees and a few other games and things. I can not wait. I will not be staying in any hotels this time, but with my friend Abass at his home. Hmmmmm, I think I'll invest in mosquitoes netting as I'll be going this time during the rainy season. Oh which reminds me to get into Anchorage to the Travelers Clinic for a prescription for malaria meds. Last times I was in Africa was during dry season and I did not see nary a mosquito!
Lots to do this month.Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-56754690472576965812012-05-01T19:34:00.001-08:002012-05-01T19:34:30.680-08:00Rachael Ray's Official Website - Roasted Tomato and Roasted Garlic PuttanescaRachael Ray's Official Website - Roasted Tomato and Roasted Garlic PuttanescaLindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-17314292714647285392012-03-31T11:07:00.000-08:002012-03-31T11:07:34.642-08:00Muffins today
It's also time to clean out my sun room soon, but gosh it has been averaging minus 22 degrees for several day, NO weeks now. Enough of that I say. Time to think of gardening. I've gotten a few seed catalogs in the mail.
Beaton

Unlike quite a number of people, Agatha had not given up on Christmas. To have the perfect Christmas had been a childhood dream whilst surviving a rough upbringing in a Birmingham slum. Holly berries slistened, snow fell gently outside, and inside, all was Dickensian Jollity. And in her dreams, James Lacey kissed her under the mistletoe, and, like a middle-aged sleeping beauty, she would awake to passion once more........

Agatha Raisin is bored. Her detective agency in the Cotswolds is thriving, but she'll scream if she has to deal with another missing cat or dog. Only two things seem to offer potential excitement; the upcoming Christmas festivities and her ex, James Lacey. This year she is sure that if she invites James to a really splendid, old-fashioned Christmas dinner, their love will rekindle like a warm Yule log.

When a wealthy widow hires Agatha because she's convinced a member of her family is trying to kill her, Agatha is intrigued.... especially when the widow drops dead after high tea at the manor house. Who in this rather sterile house, complete with fake family portraits, could have hated the old lady enough to poison her?

Agatha sets out to find the murderer, all the while managing a pretty, teenage trainee who makes her feel old and planning for a picture-perfect Christmas, with James, all the trimmings, and perhaps even snow.
The book I'm reading now......The Book I'm reading right now is "Bound for Murder" by Laura Childs (2004) ISPN 0425199231 . It is a scrapbooking mystery.

First book of the new year too. Here is a description of the book:

Carmela is creating custom place settings for a friend's pre-wedding party at a French Quarter restaurant when she makes a shocking discovery--the intended groom, with a butcher knife protruding from his body. When the heartbroken bride asks her to look into the case, she can't say no.

But Carmela soon finds that the victim had a menu of malicious meddlers is making things tougher than day-old gumbo for everyone involved. Now, Carmela must help her friend pick up the pieces while wrapping up a murder that has more than one lethal loose end......

At this point I am still reading this book. So saying I think I'll make some popcorn and settle down to read now. First I must bring Queen Bee and Pumpkin in as they are still outside in the freezing cold.Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-49312489250373970982011-01-07T20:14:00.001-09:002011-01-07T20:14:21.732-09:00This is a testLindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34863409.post-74795620262519853462011-01-04T20:16:00.000-09:002011-01-04T20:16:42.137-09:00Sore arm
I was going to work on a recipe scrap page, but my internet is not cooperating tonight with me. So.....since I have to get up so darn early I better go to bed. I'll see what I can do when i get home from work tomorrow afternoon. good thing son John made dinner tonight. I'll not have to cook after work tomorrow. What a good son he is. Now if I can only get him to clean up after himself.
Went out to eat tonight at Evangelo's. Not quite as good as it used to be.Lindainakhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06404425868508614889noreply@blogger.com0
